The DVD has quickly become the hottest selling new electronic format for savvy consumers interested in high quality picture and sound. DVD players are found in homes, offices, computers, the back seats of SUV's and everywhere else people want to enjoy great pictures, great sound and great... Well... that's a story for another website. But while DVD discs are on their way to outselling VHS tapes, the potential for DVD music has been largely unexplored, except for the popular "in concert" live performances. But the ability exists right now for recording artists to give every buyer a complete visual and audio experience at costs impossible only a few years ago. We've included clips from three DVD Music projects we photographed and edited. Two, Taiko Dojo and Rockapella, were done for Philips Electronics to demonstrate the 5.1 Surround Sound only possible on DVD. "Bach: Organ Works" is available from Pioneer. Bach himself ordered several copies to give as gifts.
